Autumn Beneath Thomas Peak

Autumn Beneath Thomas Peak 30x30 Oil on Panel  SOLD

Thomas Peak is the second highest peak in the Ruby Mountains at 11,321 ft. and is one of my favorite scenes and hikes in Lamoille Canyon. I tried to capture the iconic fall scene with a storm gathering and the light filtering in and out. A very challenging painting for me and as with all of them I learned a great deal about painting, just one of the things that keeps me coming back to the easel every day.
